Fiona Steil-Antoni was born and raised in Luxembourg. She presented her country in numerous Chess Olympiads and Championships and the highlight of her career was an individual gold medal at the 2006 Turin Olympiad. Since 2010 Fiona carries the title of woman international master. She attends tournaments as a player, but also as a commentator, press officer and part of the media team. Many people may also know her from her streams on Twitch, where she is known as "Fionchetta". Susan Namangale is the President of the Malawi Chess Association (CHESSAM) and the first female President of a chess federation in Africa. Among the key milestones achieved under her leadership were increasing the number of female chess players from less than 10% to over 30%, launching a chess in the school development program, as well as reaching out to rural schools and setting up chess clubs there. Hou Yifan is a four-time Women's World Chess Champion, and the second-highest-rated female player of all time (only behind Judit Polgar). A former prodigy, she was the youngest female player ever to qualify for the title of grandmaster and the youngest ever to win the Women's World Chess Championship. In 2019, she decided to focus on her studies, after being granted a Rhodes Scholarship by Oxford University. Hou is now a Professor at the Physical Education Department of Shenzhen University, where once again, she set a new precocity record by becoming the youngest full Professor in the history of the institution at 26 years old.
